This was such a cute yet spooky novel. I absolutely adore the art style and overall writing. Many of the dialog options had me cracking up. The story line had me hooked. I made sure to play through all three endings, and I was left so giddy. I've experienced light disappointment with past short novels not containing a complete story. But Delicious Date had me satisfied. I would highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a quick, silly game.

Massive props to Hikaru Kanzaki. The voice acting had me giggling and kicking my feet.

I absolutely fell in love with this game. The overall aesthetics and world building was amazing. Within the past few months I have gotten more into visual novels. A Date with Death has been one of my favorites so far. Unfortunately, I had finished this game over a month ago and only recently decided to start leaving comments. So, I am unable to leave a fleshed-out review, however, this game has still stuck with me. I remember feeling so light-hearted after completing the story offered. If I ever go back through, I will definitely edit my post. I would highly recommend trying this one out. I'm even considering the DLC :)

The voice acting and overall art style of this visual novel were really well done. However, I had a difficult time fully enjoying this game. I felt the endings came on extremely abruptly and were significantly more graphic than I was expecting. The ending concept(s) felt very rushed.

I would advise you thoroughly check content warnings before playing any game. Unfortunately, this specific novel could use larger warnings. The aesthetics lead you to believe you're playing through a softer game. I don't believe these horror elements need to be taken out completely, but I do believe the content warnings were done poorly. I do wish the story lines were more fleshed out and gave less of a jumpscare. You're playing a "softcore" styled game, then all of the sudden you get a graphic scene and the game is over. I don't know, it all rubbed me the wrong way.

I'm not 100% advising against trying it out, but I do highly warn towards what I've stated above.

I tried to keep my words general, but keep in mind I am writing from the perspective of a played game. So, read at your own discretion.

This is the most beautiful visual novel I have ever played. The attention to detail really struck me throughout the entire game play. I've been extremely inspired by the content and overall themes. One of my favorite little eggs is during certain scenes when you go to save. The text changes had me gagged. As well as the casino bit. I had saved some time prior to that scene and ended up losing. I figured I could skip through some dialog to get back and choose a different option. However, the dialog I received had my jaw on the floor. Plus, the shirt was hilarious.

After 14 hours of gameplay, I believe I've only received three endings so far. I will absolutely be working through the game to witness the full story. Some people have complained about the length, but I had no issues. With previous novels I have played, I've had problem with there being too many plot-holes. I would often end up with an unsatisfactory ending. I felt this game had an extremely structured storyline and left cliffhangers here and there without it being upsetting. Instead of feeling disconnected, it made me want to find out more. So major props to you.

The amount of love and effort put into this game shines. This one will stick with me for a while. I highly highly recommend.
