No worries, I didn’t take it as such! And I appreciate your faith in me. 😁
Tellus is going to be a prickly porcupine for a while. It’ll take some work to get past those defenses, but once you do, it’ll be worth it!
Thank you so much! To hear that I've inspired another is the best compliment, truly.
I'd be happy to take a look at your work and tell you what I think. But I have to warn you... I've done a lot of copyediting and proofreading in my career and tend to be hyper critical (of my own work included). Are you looking for a full on red pen, grammatical deep dive or just broad thoughts and light suggestions?
Either way, congratulations on your first IF and good luck with the project!
Hello! When you play from a save, (which I'm assuming you're doing since you switched devices) the music doesn't automatically start. As far as I can tell this is a Sugarcube thing and no real way to fix it. The music will kick in when you hit a scene or passage where the music changes, for example between chapters 1 and 2. If you start a new game on the browser, you'd hear the music fine from the beginning.
I hope that made sense!
Not directly, but I’ve always been a big proponent of reading and the power of words. Viatica is adapted from a novella I wrote nearly 30 years ago, when I was a voracious reader of dystopian literature. It’s deeply concerning how the events of this story ring truer now than they did 30 years ago. I live in America, and I think it’s more important than ever that people speak up right now. I don’t like to wax too political, but I do believe in being human and compassionate, and speaking when needed. Thank you for asking. 😊
Piccolo is a great name! ❤️ I’m glad you appreciate the musical aspect! And I’m glad you found the choices appropriate to your MC; I’m really trying to make this IF more inclusive and customizable than Viatica was so I’m happy to hear you thought of it as such.
Fun fact, I am Italian on one side and Irish on the other, so that would be a neat way to honor my other heritage. I’ll give it some thought, thank you!
And don’t ever apologize for writing long comments, I love them!
