Most of the screen is black and the game is in a smaller box..how do i get it larger?

Well it also made it so i had to get the pickaxe again, but when i did that it still wouldnt work and i couldn't beat the eye boss. i couldn't mine anything at all.
it glitched after i got the pickaxe after beating the eye monster. i cant mine the cobblestone
dam not bad. scary
