why does the boss one shot you even with max defenses? kinda unfair tbh

Hi!
We are sorry you feel like it is unfair.
But we love challenging games, have you tried maxing out your upgrade tree?
It should get easier, and an hard challenge is all the more rewarding once you finally beat it :D

yes, i did max out the upgrade tree

and no, i did not even get close enough in the process for it to feel remotely winnable

you have to constantly kill the small enemies and collect the orbs or else you die in 10 secs and

you also have to avoid both the boss and the trail or else you get one shotted, even if the trail is already fading it still one shots,

and a hard to see one-shot combined with extreme fast pace and precision demanded makes the boss fight feel very unfair

I totally get your feelings.

We love difficult games, think of this as a 2D Dark Souls lol.

But yeah a difficulty settings is probably required, although it will need a bit of time

The main issue I had with the boss was the trail extending behind it once it started dashing. Many times I dashed through the boss only for him to start dashing and me land in the trail resulting in instant death. Dodging the trail and the boss was not an issue, but an instantly spawning laser behind the boss after his attack really frustrated me and not in an "oh man I know what I did wrong but I'll get them next time!" kind of way.

I see, it also happens to a me lot during playtesting, the idea is that "parallel" dashes are very dangerous because of the trail, you should always try to dash perpendicular to it. Meanwhile, we are working on a fix to make it feel less frustrating, like foretelling better when its dash starts.
