Version 0.08 of the beta demo is now live, which fixes a whole lot of bugs and makes a few other improvements.
Here’s what’s included this time round!
- Fixed bug where most text was pixellated and barely legible on larger screens. Unacceptable! Glad to see the back of this one.
- Migrated to a new method for doing text-to-speech (meSpeak) that is uniform across all platforms, instead of using unreliable operating system defaults.
- Can now auto-buy datasets; opens up a more passive/idle-style of gameplay.
- New and improved ‘incorrect click’ noise! Many thanks to Madwreck.
- Small balance tweaks. Electricity slightly less expensive; emissions locked off until a generator is purchased.
- Fix for a couple of audio bugs; music player can be closed and re-opened successfully, and start menu music now replays when revisiting menu
- Many other bits, too small to mention
I also pushed up some new artwork to Steam! Still playing around, but feels a little more polished than the previous.
